Regional Division Of Air Freight

This refers to the division of air transport business areas on IATA. IATA divides the world into three regions, which in turn are divided into several sub-regions.
The IATA1 area includes all of the North and South American continents and their adjacent islands (Greenland, Bermuda, the West Indies and Caribbean islands, and the Hawaiian Islands). The region is further divided into three sub-regions: the Mid-Atlantic, the North Atlantic and the South Atlantic.
The IATA2 zone includes all of Europe and its adjacent islands, all of Africa and its adjacent islands, and western Asia, including Iran. The region is divided into three sub-regions: Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Area IATA3 includes all of Asia except Area IATA2 and its adjacent islands; Australia, New Zealand and their adjacent islands; Pacific islands other than IATA1 area.
The IATA3 zone is further divided into the South Asian subcontinent, the South-East Asian subregion, the Western Pacific subregion, Japan and the North Korean subregion. The People's Republic of China, along with Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the areas east of the Ural Mountains in Russia, are all included in the Southeast Asian sub-region of the IATA3 zone.
In the process of formulating tariff regulations and their related regulations, IATA fully considers the social, economic and trade conditions of different regions of the world. So this division is not exactly consistent with the geographical division.
