A basic introduction to sea freight
Sea transport, that is, sea transportation, is the most important mode of transportation in international logistics, which refers to the use of ships to transport goods between ports in different countries and regions through sea lanes. More than two-thirds of the total international trade volume, about 90% of China's total import and export freight volume is by sea. Its advantages are large volumes, low shipping costs and extensive waterways. However, the slow speed, the high risk of sailing, and the difficulty of accurate sailing dates are its shortcomings.
